Universal Studios exclusive
Evac is a movie verse deluxe figure which I believe is an exclusive to the Universal Studios Transformers ride.
I believe Evac is supposed to the car people get to sit in during the ride.
While my wife and I vacationed in Florida last week I picked him in the gift shop of the ride.
Unfortunately the ride was not yet open to the public, but they were beta testing to staff members.
As a deluxe figure, he’s not bad, but he’s not exactly mind blowing either.
His robot mode looks good, his knee joints don’t bend all of the way, and mine has a tendency to have his feet fall off, but it’s not too often.
Evac is one of the few Cybertronian vehicles in the movieverse line, which is a nice touch.
I like that green cell design on his side, and the rocket thruster at the back of the car.
One draw back for the car mode is that his robot arms are part of the under carriage, and if the front wheel suspension is not swiveled low enough away from the wheel well the arms will prevent the car from rolling.
He ran about $24, which a lot more than what I would pay for a deluxe class figure, but I figured I was on vaca, and he was an exclusive, so I splurged.
I’m happy I bought Evac. I think he’s a nice addition to my collection.
